So I promise I haven't dropped off the face of the earth, I just suck at blogging. Updates in my life include, I moved to heather cove condos for the summer and will be living in southridge apartments next year (not super nice but they have a great deal on rent!). I will hopefully be getting a new job to replace grounds, because I just can't handle another winter!

Life...or the Lack Thereof

So basically I fail at keeping up with my blog, but then again I've always been horrible at this kind of thing. Anyway life has been super busy as of late. School has been going well (actually much better than last semester) and the gardening job is still the same....minus shoveling snow (knock on wood!).

Teaching on the other hand has taken over my life, and I absolutely love it!! My girls are amazing, and my co-director Lexie is a HUGE asset. I really don't know what I would do with out her. We're at the half way point of the season, and I can't complain. They placed 8th in their first competition, then jumped up to 6th at the last competition. We have Toelle this weekend and Riverton on the 6th of March. I know they'll do great. All I ever get from people at competitions is how cute they are, and how cute their show is. All in all I think I'll keep them. :-)

Oh and of course on top of everything I have my dance concert in a week! I've loved every minute of it, but it will be so nice to have my Thursday nights back! There are four different showings. Thursday and Friday (the25th and 26th) there are free showings of the piece I'm in at the HFAC central area at 3/3:15ish. Friday night and Saturday night at 7 pm (I think.. it could be 7:30) there is the faculty works concert in the theater in the RB. It costs $6.

Karly, Anna and I will be moving to Heaver Cove for Spring and Summer. We're supper excited because they have a washer, dryer, and dishwasher, not to mention we plan on decorating it, and actually keeping it clean most of the time.

Car

I just though that I would share the news with my family that I now have a car again. It is a white 1998 pontiac grand am. The girl I bought it off of was desperate to sell it because she was leaving for a mission. It only cost me $2,000 and it's in really good shape! I'm so excited, and i must admit, it is weird to be and "adult" in the fact that I have the title in my name and I'm paying insurance on it......

So I've had a really eventful month but I wanted to share the good things that have happened to me this last month (a.k.a October). Anyway I auditioned for a teacher choreography concert and I was picked for the piece that I really wanted. The concert is in February (the 26 and 27 I think) and I would love it if my beloved siblings could find time in their busy schedules to come. I also am the new color guard director at Lone Peak High School. I'm finishing out the season at American Fork, and then I will focus on Lone Peak. I haven't met my co-director yet, but her name is Lexie and she sounds amazing. Anyway I think that's it, but I'm super excited about it all!

Dearest family and friends,
Thanks for being so patient with me, as you can see I haven't posted in a while. So here is an update on my life.....

School:
I'm taking 14.5 credits right now and am trying to figure out if I'm going to declare a second major in Art History, or if it will just me a minor. Anyway I'm taking modern marathon, dance production, anatomy (ahhh), art history, and Mormonism and the American experience. I love all of them so far and the best part is that my history classes mainly consist of reading and writing essays, not a lot of busy work, which is how I like it.

Work:
I'm still at grounds and I'm still helping at American Fork High School with the color guard

Social:
What is this social thing you speak of? I'm afraid I don't know what this is! Though admittedly Karly and I have a dessert night here about once a month :-D

So that is my life all wrapped up nice and pretty for you guys to see. I drove up to Valerie's on Monday and then we went up to Julie and Aaron's place on Monday for a BBQ. It was a lot of fun and it gave me the break from Provo that I was in desperate need of. ^-^

ok so this is for anyone wanting an update on my life. right now my internet isn't working. i'm actually using my friends computer to write this. so if any one needs to get ahold of me, the best way to do so is my phone. i'm going to karen's bridal shower tonight. i got to see harry potter with val ben and karen on wednesday. it was awesome!

OK, so this entry will have more pictures than words. I finally bought some pictures from this last winter guard season. Here they are. (i could not figure out how to separate them...)

I went home this weekend with my friend Katharine and in addition to celebrating Mothers day and Mom's birthday, we went to the Renaissance Fair. It was really fun, and I made my own costume (it looks pretty awesome if i do say so myself). We got back Tuesday, late afternoon, and I'm already back at work. In fact I should be getting ready to head out to AF for practice. Love you all!

Past, Present and Future

Ok I'm really behind but here's the update. Winter gaurd is officially over. Wasatch placed 2nd in both prelims and finals. our final score was 79.9. We were so close to 80! just as a heads up to you guys, i'm plannin g on doing it again next year, and we're planning on traveling (San Diego and Dayton). So even you guys in california can see me perform next year... if you want. :-D

I'm teaching at American Fork High School this summer and fall, and I'm still planning on doing another year of color guard at BYU. I will finally get into the thick of my major classes next fall, so hopefully I can manage everything. As for right now, I have finals in a week and a half, and then I'm taking both spring and summer term off to work full time. I want to save up enough money so that I don't have to take out a lone, and not have to rely on mom and dad. Hopefully i'll get to visit you guys this summer, and see all my neices and nephews. I realized I haven't seen Cynthia and Julie in almost a year. Sorry I'm so bad at visiting you guys when you soo close!

Anyway my trip to California got changed, since mo and dad are coming up here that weekend it would be jinda pointless for me to go down to california to visit them. I might make a trip down though for moms birthday, so if you guys want me to take anything down I will.(it will help save on postage ;-D). In case any of you guys are wondering there is no dating going on, and no boys. I did get to go to a the play "Macbeth" on friday though. It was done by BYU and it was altered to take place in Book of Mormon times. It was actually pretty good, and I enjoyed myself. It could also have been because a friend from my dance class as in it, and it got me out of my apertment for the evening. ALso my apartment, Karly and I got to go to Conference yesterday. We had tickets for the first session, but watched second in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It was alot of fun, minus the snow and rain. Also does anyone know what mom wants/needs for her birthday?

Anything and Everything

Ok.. so I know that I keep doing color guard updates, but that's about the only thing going on right now... other than school, but you've all been through that, no reason to re-live it through me right? :-D So here is a picture of the girls that I help teach (I love them!!!!)
We also had our 'home' competition on the 7th at American Fork High School. The A guard (the one I teach) took first place, and the one I perform on took 2nd. But even better than that, our score jumped 8 points, and the gap between us and Urban Expressions (the 1st place team) is only 3 points. I think we can over come that, it would be awesome if we could beat them, but then again a close 2nd would be pretty awesome as well. Heres a picture of my team at the Roy competition.
Now on to more mundane topics. Work is going well, I'm hoping to transfer to the office soon. I'm just sick of having an out door job. Classes are fine. I have two papers due at the end of the semester and I think I still have three midterms left. For those wondering about dating, its pretty non-existant, but my ward is having a winter formal and I'm going with a boy that I like so I'm planning on having a good time.
I'm also planning on going back to California on the 23rd of April for about a week. Karly will drive down with me, as will one of my roommated Priscila. She's from LA and needed a ride home in order to get a car from her brother. I might have some other friends of mine and Karly's come with us, and they wpend half the time at our house and half at Karly's, but thats not set in stone as of yet. Anyway, I'm doing my roommate's hair for her wedding, so I need to be back by May 1st. So my loving family I'm staying plenty busy and can only apologize for not visiting you guys recently. '~'

Roy Competition

So this last Saturday our competition was in Roy. After making a few changes to the work we were able to place 2nd... out of 4 this time :-D. Hopefully we'll be able to keep improving our show so that come championships we can give Urban Expressions a run for their money... they have a really good show, but so do we. They are just different styles. This next Saturday we don't have a competition which means that we have four practices before our next competition. Who knows what will happen during that time.

Payson Show

Ok so I went to my first winter guard competition at Payson High School. The group I perform on got 3rd.....out of three. I think we have a good show.... and hopefully we'll place higher in the future... however American Fork A guard (the one I help teach) got 1st place in their division. Winter Craziness

To all my siblings in Salt Lake (and surrounding area). Sorry I haven't visited you guys in forever. I've been meaning to, but I have color guard on Saturday mornings. Anyway... tomorrow I have my first color guard competition. Its in Logan and it starts in the morning. I want to invite you all to come to our performance at West High School on March 21st. I don't know the time, and if you guys can't make it I totally understand. Anyway, I"m super excited to be performing again!!!!!
